Animoca Brands, specializing in metaverse and blockchain development, and Brinc, a tech accelerator company, are teaming up on Launchpad Luna, a new guild accelerator program that aims to support the effort of various NFT and play-to-earn guilds with grants of up to USD $500,000 per partner guild.
Aside from funding, the Launchpad Luna accelerator program will also offer perks and benefits such as scholarship management and asset acquisitions to help partner guilds scale and expand.
Additional benefits such as product development support, marketing, research, data analytics and management, and even fundraising are also included in the partnership’s scope.
Animoca and Brinc believe that the Launchpad Luna program will “be an integral part of fostering the P2E growth” by sharing not just resources but also innovative practices to optimize guild growth and performance.
Aside from Animoca and Brinc, other NFT and metaverse brands have pitched in to be part of the Launchpad Luna program, such as fellow metaverse and blockchain accelerators AppWorks and Dapper Labs, web3 tools developer Blockparty, startup investors AngelHub and Whub and even Yield Games Guild.
To apply, interested guilds must meet qualifications such as having founders with relevant industry experience, a focus on play-to-earn programs that provide positive impact on the region or country that the guild is in, and a focus on utilizing proof-of-stake protocols instead of proof-of-work.
A USD $50,000 fee is also applicable however this can be settled once the guild has gone through all the qualification process and secured their funding. Additional information regarding guild qualifications are also provided in an accompanying FAQ document.
Guilds have become a staple of the growing Play to Earn ecosystem, providing access to NFT games that commonly require upfront investments. Aside from scholarship programs, some guilds also offer other benefits and perks to their members such as coaching sessions to improve gameplay, various events and reward schemes, and hubs where fellow play-to-earn users get to meet and interact with each other.
