Dreams do come true in the UGG Axie Pro Tournament Season 2 as relatively unknown player ruwwev of the Chosen Ones guild becomes the real chosen one, winning the tournament with an amazing run in the Top 16 bracket bracket.
Ruwwev came through the open qualifiers where he advanced against the rest of the 250 players and advancing to the Top 16 in a spectacular run against Axie Infinity’s toughest competitors.
Without dropping a single series in the Top 16, ruwwev went all the way to the top and stayed constantly in the upper bracket, winning all of his best of 3 matches. The run of course was not completely flawless as ruwwev did suffer game losses against the likes of Tons’ Cosmic, Whitebeard Axies’ Jeff, UGG’s Arey and fellow Chosen Ones’ guildmate Shroom before the finals showdown. Despite these game loses though ruwwev still came out on top the series, advancing and inching his way into the grand finals against Nexplay’s Ch4.
Similar to the rest of his Top 16 journey, ruwwev’s victory was dominant but not flawless as Ch4 was able to take a game away from him in the finals, but as soon as he got his groove, he never looked back and ruwwev was able to close out the match 4-1 and winning the UGG Axie Pro Tour Season 2 championship title.
With his win, ruwwev will be taking home not only the championship title but also 70 AXS (USD 4,506.59 or PHP 231,124.6 as of this article’s writing) plus an exclusive NFT asset from event partner Bored Punks of Society. Ruwwev will also be joining the hall of greats which are the previous UGG Axie Pro Tournament winners that include All Star winner Jobols and season 1 champion Coco. Together with winning the UGG Axie Pro Tournament, ruwwev also celebrates another competitive win as he made it to the top 45 spot of Axie Infinity’s season 20 competitive leaderboards.
The UGG Axie Pro Tour Season 2 is done in part to its new major brand partner, TM, a titan in the Philippine telecommunications industry, Bored Punk of Society, and Bitkeep.
