A physical gathering of a digital nation, that’s how Sky Mavis describes the first ever AxieCon, a major community gathering/convention based on the hit-blockchain card battler, Axie Infinity. AxieCon will be happening in September 7-10, 2022 in the Montjuïc Fairgrounds in Fira de Barcelona
The first-ever AxieCon will look to gather fans, players, community figureheads and more from the “Mystic-holding veterans, to wide-eyed newcomers‘ ‘ in a 3-day celebration of Axie Infinity. AxieCon hopes to to invite thousands from all over the globe, especially from its most popular areas Latin America and the Philippines, to join the creators and community in Barcelona Spain.
AxieCon will host segments such as new product announcements, developer panels, governance talks, and esports competitions. The 3-day convention will also feature additional perks such as parties, merchandise, a lounge, and even featured special guests are also listed as part of the event highlights.
Currently, 3 ticket tiers will be made available for interested attendees. These tickets will be unlocked overtime starting with the AxieCon Pass ticket tier, worth USD 150. The AxieCon pass will include a general access to AxieCon, an exclusive swag bag, unlimited access to available snacks and beverages and as well as access to the evening parties.
For those who only want to attend the parties and mingle with their fellow Axie players, a Dusk Pass is also available for USD 50. Just take note that the Dusk Pass does not include entry into the actual event, and will only allow access to all but the Mystic party event.
Speaking of the Mystic party, a Mystic pass will also be made available and will presumably be available to the Mystic Axie holders. Mystic Axies are Axies that are of the highest rarity in-game and also the ones with the highest value. Mystic pass holders will be able to enjoy additional perks such as a more premium swag bag plus access to the Mystic Holders party. All tickets are assumed to be of limited availability with the AxieCon pass to undergo a waitlist process first before it goes on sale.
The AxieCon event will be taking place at the emblematic fair grounds of Montjuïc in Fira de Barcelona this coming September 7-10, 2022.
Despite not holding AxieCon in the Philippines or in Latin America, the places with the top-most number of Axie Infinity players, Sky Mavis has announced the Axie Origin Championship, which is an exclusive tournament only for Philippines players.
