Galaxy Fight Club to launch its play-to-earn mode this August

This is gonna be fun!

A major update to the arena brawler Galaxy Fight Club is coming later this month. The cross-metaverse blockchain game title is finally preparing to launch its play-to-earn and kickstart it its in-game economy.

The game title aims at gamifying NFT collections by not only providing their own NFT avatars but also allowing other NFT collections to have utility in-game. The cross IP-PVP approach is similar to games like the hit series Super Smash Bros and the recently released MultiVersus. Galaxy Fight Club’s play-to-earn system will have players earning rewards at a daily basis. Players also don’t need to purchase NFTs as they can still earn rewards while playing for free.

Similar to many free-to-play NFT games, acquiring or owning NFTs in the game will entitle players to more rewards. These rewards include GCOIN, the game’s token, which players can earn passively through daily-yield system. The mechanic is present on NFTs that have utility in Galaxy Fight Club. For free-to-play players, rewards will be available through the Arena. GCOIN is the game’s main token that players can use for functions like weapon and character upgrades, re-rolls and opening lootboxes. Staking is also another function of the GCOIN token that is in development although there are no governance functions available as of this time. Despite being the utility coin, GCOIN will have a finite amount with only 150 million in supply.

Galaxy Fight Club’s beta version is free-to-play for Android and iOS users. Genesis Fighters, the game’s first wave of NFT characters are also available for purchase on OpenSea. Aside from their own collection, the project is also in collaboration with other NFT collections like Bulls on the Block and CyberKongz. The play-to-earn mode will be launching on August 22, 2022.
