After much anticipation, GPU manufacturing giant NVIDIA has finally revealed their new RTX 40 series. The new lineup will soon replace the 30 series or the 3000 series to others as NVIDIA’s main line of graphic cards built not just for gaming but also for workstations.

The new line reveal was done early this week through a special livestream event by NVIDIA. The livestream shows the 2 flagship GPU models, or graphical processing units, also known as video cards, the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. The RTX 4080 will come in 2 flavors, a 16GB and a 12GB variant although surprisingly there was no info on a Ti version. NVIDIA boasts up to twice the gaming performance for its 40-series cards by “harnessing DLSS 3 and new Ada innovations“. Aside from gaming, NVIDIA’s GPUs are also utilized in other computing work like 3D and video rendering. NVIDIA also says that the cards will provide up to twice the performance in such tasks and as well as in AI utilization.
